Hey guys, Quinn and I are back today to show you how
to do a 5 Strand Dutch Braid. You might be a little intimidated by the fact that we’re going to use 5 strands but I don’t want you to worry I’m going to show you how to do this braid and break it down to make it nice and easy. So with that, let’s get started. Began by gathering a section of hair at the top of the head and dividing it into 5 parts I will number these sections 1 – 5 starting from the right Begin braiding by taking #1 under #2 And then over #3 Move to the left side and take #5 under #4 and then over #1 At this point I’ve completed one row of the braid I’m back to my starting position and will re-number my sections and repeat Before moving back to the right side, combine the two left sections together in your left hand Then pick up a new section of hair on the right and add it to section #1 Take section #1 under #2 and over #3 Combine the two right sections into your right hand and then move to the left side Separate out the two sections in your left hand and then pick up a new section of hair and add it to section #5 And then take section #5 under #4 and over #1 That completes another row of the braid and you’re back to your starting position Combine the two left section in your left hand and return to the right side Continue repeating this pattern, add a new section of hair to section #1 Then take section #1 under #2 and over #3 Combine the two right sections in your right hand and then move to the left side Separate out the two sections in your left hand and then pick up a new section of hair and add it to section #5 Then take section #5 under #4 and over #1 Continue repeating down the braid When finished secure with an elastic and then pull or “pancake” the braid bigger We really hope you enjoyed this video if you did then give us a 👍🏼below and if you haven’t already subscribed to our channel be sure to hit the subscribe button, so you don’t miss out on what we’re doing next!
