Cornrows X Box Braids Together Natural Hair Protective Style► No Extensions

Hey curlfriends and welcome back. Today I’m coming to you guys with another
natural hair protective style. Today I’m going to show you guys how I created
these cornrows in the front with box braids in the back all together hairstyle. I’m starting off on freshly washed hair. I washed my hair the night before. I put it into these 4 large twists and tied
them up into a bun. Don’t get me wrong, my hair is flourishing
with these protective styles. But, it’s getting so hard to get my hair washed
on wash day and set my hair afterwards. This is the easiest way for me. I set my hair with some goat milk. It’s like a goat milk moisturizer and I just
put it into the 4 buns. I’m going ahead and basing my scalp with some
oil just to get rid of that dry flakey scalp that I suffer from. I’m going to proceed with separating and sectioning
my hair. I’m going to separate the front from the back
because the cornrows will be in the front and those box braids will be sitting in the
back. You guys can go for whatever braid pattern
you guys want to. I have a large forehead so I thought that
I would make the braids the focal point, not this huge forehead. I split my hair into 3 large sections. I have a middle, left and right section. I’m just going to braid the cornrows going
around, sculpting out those 3 sections. I’m starting off on my right side. Those braids will just go straight towards
the back. They’re slightly on a slant, kind’ve like
a triangular pattern which this entire hairstyle will follow on either side. Product wise, I went ahead and washed my hair
the night before. I put some oil on my hair and followed up
with this goat milk moisturizer. I’ll see if I can link it below. It’s really old, so I’m sure that the company
may not be around by now. But it’s a really old goat milk moisturizer
that I got sent to me. I twisted my hair up and for the braids, I’m
using some Eco Styler gel to tame down any kind of fly aways and make this hairstyle
last a lot longer. Moving onto the left side, I’m just going
to practice the exact same braiding pattern. All of these braids are going to go down the
middle and slant towards my left side to separate the section. I want a middle, left and right section. For this last section here, I’ll just follow
that middle section. You guys seemed to enjoy my box braids with
no extensions look. So, I thought that I would play off of that
idea and just give it more of a focal point towards the front to dress it up a bit. I really hope that you guys are enjoying this
look. I had some errands to run so I just threw
my hair into a low bun. I thought that I would show you guys this
just in case you run into that issue just like I did. The hairstyle did not take long at all. It literally took me half the time that it
took to do the actual box braids. I think it took me about 2-2.5 hours of course
including filming time. But it was a really quick and easy, simple
hairstyle. Getting those cornrows in the front and having
to do the single braids in the back makes this entire hairstyle go by super quick. You’re not sitting here for hours just creating
these single braids. I wore that low bun for the majority of the
day. When I came back, I finished filming for you
guys. But, you could totally pull off the cornrows
in the front and just wear a bun in the back if that’s your thing. But I wanted to go ahead and completely protective
style all the way. I don’t want to touch my hair for a few weeks. I just popped in some medium sized box braids
in the back. My hairstyle is complete. Let’s go back in and hit this look with some
final touches. I’m just going to oil my scalp even more to
make sure that I don’t end up with dry hair. That is the leading cause for taking down
your hair, getting that dry itchy scalp. I finished up with some hair polish sheen
spray just to finalize and polish everything. This is the final completed look ya’ll! I love this hairstyle. Ya’ll know that this my protective styling
season. So I really hope that you guys enjoyed this
just as much as I did. I love you guys and I’ll see you guys in the
next video!

I blow it straight but within a hour or two its well, you know. I Dont like flat irons too much, and I'm so busy, straightening combs work but the time wooo. Help

  4. So in love with this hairstyle but EVERY TIME! I do my hair in mini braids or mini twists they come out looking as though they’ve already been in for a while. Crazy right?! My hair is so damn frizzy! I always wash it before protective styling and it’s growing well but it sucks how frizzy it is 🤷🏿‍♀️

  5. I love this!! I’m tired of weaves too, I was gonna do mini braids all over, but I like the cornrows in the front style! Your hair looks so nice

  6. Ok friends. This is a look! I’ve been thinking about doing this with my hair but hesitant because I didn’t like having braids when I was younger.

  7. Finally, Girlll you are me, skinny, big gorhead, hair wise( thickness), I also have dry itchy scalp yet don't have bad flakes, and I use the keravada products And wanted to do this hairstyle but wanted to watch a guide video now I have a idea…but probably not going to do braids at the back likely gonna do twists but now that I see the braids I kinda wanna do it…Ion know

  10. Oh my god, that hairstyle is so beautiful on you. I have this video saved, simply my FAVORITE natural style I've found online. Have any suggestions on how to minimize shrinkage on wash day? It looks so good when I do no extension twists or box braids then I wash it and it's just not the same.

  12. This is a great style. I'm getting ready to remove my locs that I've been growing for 6 1/2 years. They are currently almost touching my butt. Because I have that typical black super tight curly hair, I'm practically gonna have an Afro when I take my locs down. I think this will be a good look for me to start with. Please wish me luck 🤞🏽😀

  13. I like this style! But I would like to know how you maintain it ? Do you tie it up and/or wear a bonnet when you go to sleep ?

  14. Beautiful hairstyle quick and easy I miss braiding my hair I’m definitely going to try this style and shoot a video for my channel!! ❤️
