How to Finish a Weaving on the Martha Stewart Crafts® DIY Weaver(TM)

When you’re done weaving, you need to remove
your piece from the loom base. First remove your starting slip knot from
the peg, pulling the knot out. Thread this end into the tapestry needle. Draw the tapestry
needle through the loop directly next to the starting peg. Do not pull too tightly to distort
your fabric. Repeat this on the ending slip knot at the
top of your weaving. Starting at the bottom edge, carefully start
lifting the weaving on both sides of the pegs moving towards the center. Repeat on the top
edge. You are now ready to weave in your ends on
the back of the fabric. If your ends are too long, trim to make more them manageable, making
sure to not cut too short. Thread the ends one at a time in the tapestry
needle. Draw the tapestry needle through the fabric neatly for about an inch. Check to
be sure nothing shows on the front of the piece. Trim ends. Remember to go to lionbrand.com for more weaving
how tos and design ideas.
