Husqvarna Viking Sapphire 960 38 Decorative Stitches

As you can see by the pictures that are in
your manual and when you stitch out your decorative stitches, they look so much prettier sewn
out than just what’s pictured on the top of your machine. I recommend that you take
some time to sew out every single decorative stitch in your machine and what you can do
is just cut up a bunch of fabric, have some squares set up, have some stabilizer or just
plan to double up your fabric, put a colorful thread on, maybe even use variegated thread
and stitch a full row of your decorative stitches. You can use the start/stop button so that
you’re not actually pressing down on your foot control while you’re sewing. Just go
ahead and start it and then you can still use the selective thread cutter, so it will
finish the stitch right at the end and cut your thread for you. You might even find yourself
working through each menu, maybe a little bit at a time, maybe just start sewing through
the different ones and of course as you go to the more fun ones, they are so much more
pretty as you go. So it really makes a difference if you want
to help keep them nice and even, you might even use your seam guide that comes with the
machine, flip it into the back of the foot. Here we go and then that will help you keep
them nice and even as you are travelling and making parallel rows. So I do challenge you.
Take the time to stitch out your decorative stitches. You will be glad you did.

  1. I just received this machine for Christmas and I'm getting inconsistent results when using decorative stitching. Some come out beautiful, but other times they come out weak and poorly formed – same thread, same fabric, same speed, etc, just different results. Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong?
