Setting Up My 2020 Planner, Stickers, Cross Stitch Rat Badges wip ~ Studio Vlog

Year of the rat! Year of the tiny rat magic! *laughs* Time to sort out my new planner. This is the same book that I used this year and it is only two pound from Tiger and it’s just a plain paper, notebook with a bookmark and an envelope and an elastic and yeah I’m gonna turn it into my planner for the year. I set it up so that I do a week to a spread and then I have each day with like equal, equal size and then a half page for notes about it so like, monday, tuesday, wednesday thursday, friday, saturday, sunday, notes so then in here I can put anything that’s like, I need to remember but it’s not day specific and then I have my days I always find that diaries have smaller weekend days and stuff but stuff like that doesn’t really apply to me my weekend days are just the same as my weekdays so I make my own one but I quite enjoy it, I find this quite relaxing You probably can’t see it on the camera but I measure out the first page and then I can just see the lines through here so I’m just tracing them now I’m not doing it by eye, I’d be awful at that but yeah on here I can see through the paper to the lines I did before. It doesn’t need to be exact anyway. There we go! I’ve got all my dates written out It’s all ready to go now it just needs stickers on the front because this is just unacceptable really isn’t it, yes. So far today I have been tidying and organising and stuff but now it’s time to put stickers on my planner this is all my stickers I don’t think there’s anything wrong with collecting stickers and not using them if you have a box of stickers and that’s your collection of stickers that’s fine because that’s the same as collecting anything else but in my head I wanna use stickers and yet I still have a box full of stickers that I can’t bear to use and it’s silly and I wanna get better at it so I’m gonna go in this pack see there’s more, and there’s some that I keep on the lid that I use on envelopes and the ones in here are like, the super special ones that I don’t wanna waste but if I want to stick them on stuff and I’m not sticking them on anything then is that not wasting them anyway? but yeah sticker philosophy let’s just cover my planner shall we Cute, oh they’re all so cute. oh yeah this holographic two face one’s really cool that’s awesome I think these are all one’s I’ve printed myself so I don’t know why I didn’t just use them because I could just print more why, why am I like this? This I probably won’t ever use this twice sticker that I got with the album that I bought ah there’s so many good stickers holographic’s so cool I really wanna make some holographic stickers this year or um there’s two different types I think it’s diginate they have holographic and they also have sparkly that I used when I made my pigeon stickers, I really wanna make both I love both of them I wanna make everything! I have made no decisions I’ve planned it out because that’s just the kind of person that I am now I’m gonna stick them down let’s get this strap out of the way there we go I love sticking stickers so much! Over the christmas week I started making these little cross stitch rats these aren’t necessarily gonna be the ones that end up in my shop because I’m still kind of testing how to finish them off I don’t know if I’m gonna choose different colours or these might end up being the ones I dunno, I dunno but anyway I’m working on these and I started finishing off this one I put felt on the back and then I blanket stitched around the edge because felt doesn’t fray and cross stitch should hold itself together just doubting myself a little bit because I’m silly *laughs* but this is what I’m working on I think, I think this is how I’m going to do it it feels really nice I would quite like to just keep one in my pocket maybe I should put pins on them, maybe they’d be better as badges rather than patches maybe I should put a put a pin in the back, maybe that’d be better I think I’m gonna go with badges I think that that’s quite cute a little badge I got this one little badge coz they’re quite sturdy so they yeah I think they work as badges I think that’s quite sweet I was just replying to Lynn who is LoveLynnsLife on youtube she does journaling videos, they’re really nice you should check her out but yeah she sent me these postcards just before christmas but I’m useless before christmas so I thought I’d reply in the new year with a new years card but yeah I just thought I’d share these postcards because they’re really cool aren’t they she has an etsy shop which is LoveLynnsArt I’ll put all the links in the description but yeah aren’t they cool you should check her out I think I’m gonna end the video here, it’s the end of the week it’s the end of the video it’s the start of the year *laughs* I don’t have any resolutions this year I normally do, I’m normally quite reflective at the end of the year and then have lots of goals for the new year but I’m not really I don’t know I haven’t felt like it this year I think I’m just taking each day as it comes just one day at a time, I haven’t really yeah I haven’t really felt like doing any resolutions this year but that’s alright. So yeah, thank you for watching my first video of the year I don’t know how the video turned out but for me it was a nice slow, calm, start, I feel like I dunno I like a new year just gives you chance to reset yourself a little bit I try not to wait for it before I start making changes because you can start making changes whenever you want but it does feel nice to have that that date change yeah I’m not gonna start rambling about it though thank you for watching my video and I’ll see you in the next one
